Olga Pisareva - L.Ac.

I have been practicing Traditional Chinese acupuncture for a several years. I am National Board Certified Acupuncturist certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I received training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Element Acupuncture, and Kiiko Matsumoto’s Japanese style acupuncture while attending ESATM-Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. I also have Pharmaceutical, Homeopathic and Western Herbalogy Degree from Russia and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Technology. Which allows me to integrate Eastern and Western Medical concepts.

Services:

Needeling

During the acupuncture treatment we use disposable, stainless steel hair-thin needles to insert into specific points on the body to stimulate nerves, muscles or connective tissue. The stimulation increases blood flow and sends signals to the brain to releases specific neural hormones, which promotes the body's natural balance and the the ability to heal itself.

Electro- Acupuncture

Electro-acupuncture is a form of acupuncture where a small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. This helps to restore the healthy flow of energy through the body, removing any blockages and clearing out stagnant areas. This practice can restore health and well-being, and is particularly good for treating pain and stroke/ paralyses.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, common cold, cough, blood circulation, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Auriculotherapy

It is a form of oriental medicine based on the idea that the ear is a microsystem, meaning that the entire body is represented on the auricle and that the entire body can be treated by stimulation of the surface of the ear exclusively.

Used in treatment and prevention of diseases by stimulation of the certain acupuncture points in or around the ear with needles, magnets and ear seeds.

Infrared Therapy

Through the subtle heating infrared energy boosts your immune system, increasing the amount of white blood cells and killer T-cells. It is an excellent therapy for promoting healing, reducing muscle soreness, muscle spasms and relief for rheumatoid arthritis.

Essential Oil Therapy

Aromatherapy, commonly associated with complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Essential oils, phytoncides and other natural volatile organic compounds (VOCs) work in different ways. At the scent level they activate the limbic system and emotional centers of the brain to effect person's health and mood. When applied to the skin they activate thermal receptors, and kill microbes and fungi. Aromatherapy used for improving psychological or physical well-being as well as stimulate the immune system.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese medical treatment where skin is scraped with a massage tool to improve your circulation and produce light bruising. Gua Sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing.

Laser Acupuncture

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) provides you with a safe and effective alternative to drugs and surgery therapy. Lasers work by flooding the tissue with photons, which promotes healing in many conditions because it increases the ATP (adenosine tri-phosphate) level and activates enzymes in the targeted cells. Energized cells increase circulation to the injured area and ultimately reduce pain as the healing process accelerates. Laser therapy does not damage tissue cells and is safe in most applications. It is used for a wide variety of conditions including pain relief, wound healing, musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome as well as strengthening immune system response due to increasing levels of lymphocyte activity.
